Koalas, black snails, bush camping, oh my

Koalas, black snails, bush camping, oh my

Between camping, walking around, driving back and forth and so on, I’m way behind in my pictures and accounts.

That won’t change as I’m camping tonight again. I’ll be on Wilsons Promontory, and I will have passed Melbourn by on its South side. So still more waiting. And I’m leaving the Great Ocean Road behind.

A quick word though on this morning’s walk : I went on a track in the rainforest filled with eucalyptus trees, which means a delicious smell as I was walking ! Koalas were shy but I saw one (and probably heard quite a few ! ) It’s blatantly unfair as I’m sure they saw me.

I saw the black snail, a carnivorous species, in the (cold) rainforest of Otway Peninsula, I had a canope walk on a tree-top walkway in the same rainforest, I found my targeted campground closed for the season when I arrived at 8 at night, slept in the parking lot of another campground (no sleeping in vehicule permitted), and other adventures. More soon!
