Barbados
Day 273-274 – Dover Beach, Barbados
I’ll condense both days as I didn’t do much. I caught up on quite some sleep.
I went the first day to the beach, which was a 5-min walk away. The second day, I went to Bridgetown explore the old town.
I took a shared mini-van, 2 dollars (1 USD), and walked around the streets. There are some old houses, a Gothic parliament building, a seafront. I found a replacement for my SIM card tray.
Then it was time to take the bus back. Since Bridgetown was the end station, but I was dropped in the street a bit before the actual terminal, I went straight to the terminal instead of trying to catch it in the street.
That proved to be a great idea, as it was rush hours, with files to take the bus -mine was quite short-, and we were packed in it. I was actually the first one to get out, probably to the relief of the man in charge of opening the door, who was stuck standing bent in two under the roof.
And since I had an early flight the next day, I had the dubious pleasure to wake up just after 3am to catch it with plenty of time.
Quel rattrapage massif! Mais bon, je suis contente de suivre même avec retard tout ce que tu as vu!
Bravo pour le carnaval: je trouve ces enfants déguisés adorables! Et tu as dû aimer le steelband!
