Kangaroos on the beach
Day 125 -Mimosa Rocks National Park, Australia
Since I woke up extra early, I took the time to detour to Cap Coran see the rocks and the pretty ocean. It was nice and the sun was shining, and to get there, I followed a smaller road that was hugging the beach. I enjoyed it.

I fuelled up before leaving, since I had driven on my fuel reserve last night. I decided against buying a new bag of ice for the icebox (I finally understand why every petrol station sells bags of ice), 5kg being too big, but the cashier gave me a torn and half-empty one, which was the perfect size for the space left in my Esky (the brand and local name for an icebox). Since the last bag I bought from the same chain of gas station, having paid before picking up on, was half empty because it was the last one not frozen to the wall, I found it fair.
I drove a lot, making up for days spent almost in the same place at the beginning of my roadtrip. By a lot, I mean 5-6 hours, not 12! But it worked.
I stopped at Mimosa Rocks National Park for a cheap campground (that I never paid because they said to pay the “proper authority” and nobody showed up). The campground is separated from the beach by a low sand dune, which means that one can see kangaroos grazing almost on the beach, and that one sleeps to the sound of the waves.

I went to walk in the surf, the water is definitely icy! Beautiful, but so cold!
The kangaroos are different from the one I’m used to see. I’m not sure exactly what they are.
