Oranges, apples, dragon fruit and snake fruits, oh my.
I bought a few oranges. The skin is green-orange, the size is one of a small orange as we know them, they can be peeled like a mandarin and taste like one. Maybe they are giant mandarins!
I also bought apples, they make good snacks.
Last week I bought a dragon fruit. It is pink on the outside, big as a grapefruit, and if cut in half, can be eaten by scooping the inside with a spoon. The inside is usually dark purple with black, tiny seeds. When blended as a smoothie, the result is a vibrant purple.
I discovered snake fruits: the outer skin is brittle, brown, scaly; once peeled, it reveals three white parts in the shape of a fang. One eats each part but discards the huge seed present in each. I found it a lot of work for very little fruit, though it is very fun.
My next goal is to learn how to eat star fruit.
